Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta (March 28 1986). Pop singer. She is known worldwide as Lady Gaga. She was brought up on the streets of Manhattan New York United States. Her mother Cynthia Louise Bissett vice president of the mobile operator Verizon. Her father was a businessman Joseph Anthony Germanotta Jr. Director of an internet networking company. She was raised in the prestigious Upper East Side of Manhattan in an elitist Catholic family. In order to avoid the pitfalls of this lifestyle, her parents decided to enroll at the Convent of the Sacred Heart which is a revered and prestigious school. Music was her passion when she was a young child. She was taught piano and at the age of 13she composed her first track. She took part at open mics. Her most favored artists included David Bowie, Madonna and Queen Michael Jackson. Upon completion of high school she entered New York University's Tisch School of Art to study music. But, she didn't finish her degree. Instead, she started her career in music.
